DR. MOJDEH FARAZ
Dr. Mojdeh Faraz lived in British Columbia, Canada, before moving to New York City in 2007 to follow her passion for healthcare and dental science at New York University. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at NYU in 2011 and then completed a postgraduate residency program at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, where she obtained a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD). Dr. Faraz joined the NYU faculty in the Department of Cariology and Comprehensive Care to contribute to the institution where she was once a student. Her enthusiasm for working with children and adolescents led her to pediatric dentistry. She completed her pediatric specialty at Jacobi Medical Center in affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She received the Richard S. Pugh Achievement Award in recognition of scoring in the top three percent of the Qualification Examination held by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, followed by the James R. Roche Award of Excellence for achieving the highest score in the nation in 2016. She now lives in California close to her beloved family and spends her leisure time swimming, biking, and hiking.
